What we do

about community

Share the Warmth is all about Community and Community Building.

Our mission is to awaken hopes and dreams in the community. We do this by fostering the overall development and success of children and youth, increasing access to food security and health and by offering work training programs which help adults enter or return to the workforce. Our mission is based on three main priorities.

SO THAT WE CAN ALL LEARN AND GROW

In an area where the drop-out rate has reached 51%, according to Centraide Montreal, programs that help youth focus on their studies and develop their full potential are important.

SO THAT WE ALL CAN EAT

One of Share the Warmth’s priorities is to increase access to healthy food because a third of residents in Point Saint-Charles and beyond live well below the poverty line.

SO THAT WE ALL CAN WORK

Adults without a diploma or dealing with health problems are often excluded from the work force. Offering work training can act as a springboard to the workforce.
