Share the Warmth is all about community and community building.
Our mission is to awaken hopes and dreams in the community. We do this by fostering the overall development and success of children and youth, increasing access to food security and health and by offering work training programs which help adults enter or return to the workforce. Our mission is based on three main priorities.
SO WE CAN ALL LEARN AND GROW
In an area where the drop-out rate was as high as 51%, according to Centraide Montréal, programs that help youth focus on their studies and develop their full potential are important.
SO WE CAN ALL EAT
With close to one third of residents living below the poverty line, one of Share the Warmth’s priorities is to increase access to healthy food.
SO WE CAN ALL WORK
Adults without a diploma or dealing with health problems are often excluded from the work force. Offering work training can act as a springboard to the workforce.
