JOIN THE SHARE THE WARMTH VOLUNTEER FAMILY!
Do you have some time and energy to donate? Are you interested in giving back to your community? We have regular and one-time volunteer opportunities for individuals. You can help out in the food bank, pay-what-you-can market, cook in the kitchen or serve community lunches.
* Note that it is not possible at the moment to volunteer to fill hours community or compensatory. Thanks for
your comprehension.
Here are some examples of tasks you can do:
THE FOOD BANK (not available at the moment)
Tuesdays or thursdays (9am – 12pm & 12pm – 4pm)
- Sorting donated food items, preparing food boxes, stacking shelves, unloading the truck
- Welcoming and distributing food to members on food bank
THE KITCHEN:
MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAY (9am – 12pm & 12pm – 3pm)
- Preparing meals for the community lunches
THE FRUIT AND VEGETABLE MARKET:
MONDAYS (12:30pm – 3:30pm – 3:30pm – 6:30pm)
- Preparation and market set up
- Sorting fruits and vegetables
- Helping customers and restocking shelves
- Cash
LUNCH SERVICE:
TUESDAY OR THURSDAY (11am – 2pm)
- Execute table service during community lunches (necessary to be able to communicate in French and English with customers);
- Transport food, cutlery, etc. from the kitchen to the dining room (one flight of stairs).
- Tidy up the room once lunch is over.

ACTIVITIES AT SHARE THE WARMTH
Companies can participate in various activities at Share the Warmth. Depending on our needs and time of year, groups may work in the food bank, the kitchen, the market, at special events or doing various other tasks.
Many companies also organize their own fundraising events. These third-party events are a great way for employees to get involved and work together to support a cause they care about.
