COOKING WORKSHOPS

Learn to cook

Learn to prepare simple, healthy meals in a fun atmosphere.

Learn simple recipes, explore new dishes, and discover food from around the world together.

Don’t know how to cook? No problem. We will learn together.

Cooking workshops are held at Share the Warmth and lead by students from McGill University’s Dietetics Department. Sessions are 12 weeks. Maximum 8-12 participants per group.

Cooking Workshops – and FOODFIT

The FoodFit program is a free 12-week program developed by the Community Food Centres of Canada (CFCC). It is aimed at low-income community members who face barriers to eating healthy food and participating in physical activity, but who want to make lasting lifestyle changes. The program combines fun, hands-on cooking sessions and food-based activities with take-home recipes, easy-to-understand nutrition information, group exercise, and shared meals.

Registration for the fall session is open. Workshops will be held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. from September 30 to December 9, 2017.
