At Share the Warmth, we’re taking action with a major food bank transformation to double our capacity and make sure no one is turned away. But we can’t do it alone. With your help, we’re building a more efficient, accessible, and welcoming space where:
- 6,000 people per month—twice as many as today—will get the food they need.
- Storage space triples, so we can accept more food donations and prevent shortages.
- Wait times drop from 3 hours to 40 minutes, making food access faster and more dignified.
- 100% more accessible.
- Staff and volunteers work in a safer, better-equipped environment.

For over 30 years, Share the Warmth has been at the heart of Montreal’s Sud-Ouest borough, offering programs that promote access to healthy food and holistic development for children, families, and seniors.
Today, in response to an unprecedented 30% increase in food insecurity over the past year, we’re taking action with an ambitious project: transforming our food bank to make it more accessible, efficient, and welcoming. Our goals include:
- Doubling our capacity to serve 6,000 individuals per month
- Tripling our storage space
- Reducing wait times
- Creating a dignified, safe, and fully accessible environment

Hope Takes Action – A Night to Remember!

On May 5th, our community came together for Hope Takes Action—an unforgettable evening filled with generosity, joy, and purpose. Thanks to your support, we raised nearly $60,000 to fight hunger in our neighbourhoods. But the journey doesn’t stop here. Our goal is to raise $400,000 to help us feed over 6000 people per month with dignity, choice, and compassion. Dive into the highlights and be part of the movement.
The Culinary Showdown
🥊 A live chef face-off!
During this friendly live competition held on-site, two iconic South West restaurants — The Burgundy Lion and Lord William Pub — rose to the challenge! The mission? Create a delicious dish using only ingredients sourced from our food bank.
That very evening, the chefs visited our food bank to choose their ingredients on the spot, just like our participants do each week. Then, both teams cooked live in front of the audience, while a panel of guest judges tasted the dishes and shared their feedback in real time.
