Do you have time and energy to give? Would you like to get involved in your community? We offer opportunities for periodic or one-time volunteering for individuals. You can work at the food bank, in the kitchen, during our fundraising events, or in other activities.
Please note that volunteering to fulfill community service or compensatory hours is not possible. Thank you for your understanding.
FOOD BANK
Preparation of the food bank
Monday: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM & 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Tuesday: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM & 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Wednesday: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM & 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM
Thursday: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM & 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Sorting dry and fresh products
- Packing and portioning food items
- Preparing the food bank for service
- Unloading the truck
THE MARKET
Tuesday: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM & 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Thursday: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM & 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Serving customers
- Operating the cash register
- Taking inventory of food items
COMMUNITY DINNER
Tuesday: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
Thursday: 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM
- Serving at tables during community dinners (communication in French and English is required)
- Transporting food, cutlery, etc., from the kitchen to the dining area (one flight of stairs)
- Cleaning up the space once dinner is over
WELCOMING MEMBERS
Tuesday: 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM & 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Thursday: 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM & 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM & 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
- Checking identification of food bank members
- Verifying the number of visits of food bank members
THE KITCHEN
Wednesday: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM
- Preparing food for the community dinner (chopping and peeling vegetables)
- Baking
- Pastry making
- Dishwashing

ACTIVITIES AT SHARE HOPE
Companies can participate in various activities at Share Hope. Depending on our needs and the time of year, groups can work at the food bank, in the kitchen, during special events, or perform other diverse tasks. Many companies also organize their own fundraising events. These third-party events are a great way for employees to get involved and work together to support a cause they care about.
