2022 WINTER SESSION

 Affordable music lessons in the heart of Montréal

Do you want to learn to play an instrument? Are you looking to improve your musical skills? Share the Warmth’s offers affordable music lessons to adults right in the heart of Montréal. These group courses aim to make learning to play an instrument accessible to everyone in the community while contributing to the social and cultural life of Pointe-Saint-Charles. The adult music program follows a 50-minute group lessons format (maximum of four students per group). This program is only open to residents of the following postal codes: H3C, H3E, H3J, H3K, H4C, H4E, H4G, H4H. Our passionate and experienced teachers offers courses in a following instruments: piano, guitar, cello, and clarinet.

Our music school is open to everyone who wants to learn to play an instrument or improve their skills. The goal is to make music accessible to everyone and provide an inclusive, positive group atmosphere. Our teachers will make sure to accommodate each student’s level. Music lesson schedule

The fall semester is from October 11 to December 19 (10 weeks of classes). Clarinet lessons are offered on Mondays and piano, cello, and guitar lessons are offered on Fridays. Each lesson is 50 minutes in length. Lessons are currently being held online to follow the health guidelines issued by the Government and to limit the spread of COVID-19.

Pricing

Our new music school has been developed as part of our social economy initiative. In line with Share the Warmth’s mission, any profits from these lessons will be reinvested into our youth music program. By taking lessons at Share the Warmth, you will not only be learning to play an instrument but offering the gift of music to young musicians in your community. Prices for lessons are based on income to ensure learning to play an instrument is affordable for every member of our community. The table below shows the prices per income. Please note that for all registrations, we will ask for your notice of assessment (income tax) and the number of dependents in your family. If you believe in our mission and would like to pay more than the amount for your income, you will directly support our program, its accessibility and sustainability.
