THIS YEAR THERE ARE TWO WAYS YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
On June 5th the children in our youth programs will represent Share the Warmth and run 1km in Point St-Charles to raise money for their programs. They will be fundraising leading up to the event as well as on race day. The Kids 1KM Run is a way to empower our young participants to be able to give back to the music, tutoring and cooking programs by representing Share the Warmth on race day. We want to celebrate the success of our youth as well as Share the Warmth’s youth programming. The event will also serve as an end of the school year celebration.
Run or walk and support Share the Warmth
Every year, Équipe Espoir participates in the Scotiabank Charity Run. This year’s event will be virtual, and will take place from April 23 – June 14. However, we encourage participants to run on June 5th in solidarity with our youth who will be running 1KM for Share the Warmth that day. Sign up today to reserve your spot!
In addition to offering our traditional 21K, 10K, 5K and 1K Kids Run distances, we are also introducing two new challenges:
- The Hat Trick Challenge: Honoring one of Canada’s favorite pastimes, hockey, this challenge involves completing all three race distances (21K, 10K, and 5K) for your chance to earn some exclusive swag.
- The Espace 67 Challenge: This is an opportunity to run or walk 67 km over a 52 day period. You’ll earn digital badges as you work your way along the 67 km route as well as some awesome Parc Jean Drapeau keepsakes.
