School Food Program

Share the Warmth prepares and delivers nutritious food to 21 Montreal schools every single week during the school year.

This program provides food security for hungry children in schools who do not benefit from subsidized meal plans. We send healthy and nutritious meals and snacks that can be kept in the refrigerator for those children who show up empty-handed at school. Some of the things we make for the kids are: sandwiches and wraps, bagels with cream cheese, milk and cereal, fresh fruit, cheese and yogurts, homemade muffins and cookies, vegetables and dip and so on.

A typical volunteer and staff-prepared meal for students might include the following: an oatmeal cookie or a muffin, a fruit, a yogurt or a milk box along with a healthy tuna or egg sandwich.
